According to Ayurveda, the best time to prepare the body for Winter is in the Autumn, by clearing out excess summer heat and beginning to store nourishment deep in the tissues.
This menu is designed specifically to help clear the body of excess Summer heat and start to bring nourishment to the deeper tissues in preparation for Winter.
Fall has qualities of cool, light, dry, rough, mobile, clear. These recipes are intended to work with those qualities to help balance them and ease their effects on our minds and bodies.

This is a full hands-on experience, moving through a series of recipes with your fellow students, guided and instructed directly by Michelle, who has decades of experience cooking and enjoying Ayurvedic foods!

"The Everyday Ayurveda Cookbook: A Seasonal Guide to Eating Well"
We will be cooking with whole foods, using seasonally appropriate ingredients - apples, root vegetables, pumpkin - which help naturally cleanse your system, making way for the richer, more comforting foods that your body will crave as temperatures drop and nights grow longer.
Throughout this fun and informative Ayurvedic cooking class, you’ll also gain simple, sensible tips for balancing your mind, body, and spirit through mindful food choices and preparation, so you can feel your best throughout the seasonal transition.

There is much unseen work that goes into these gatherings: from menu research, testing and planning, to developing the promotion/website info, to gathering resources and supplies, to preparing my home for guests!

and helps make future events and workshps possible, too.
